Since our last customer survey in 2010, there have been big changes at JerseyConnect. Through a Broadband Technology Opportunity Program (BTOP) grant, we have made critical upgrades to our infrastructure that allowed us to introduce new services for libraries and increase bandwidth for both libraries and hosted services. These upgrades will provide for expanded service offerings in the future.
We addressed the needs rated most important by libraries who participated in our 2010 survey:
– rolled out faster, more reliable internet service with EVPL
– provided 100 GB of offsite storage for every library in NJ
– increased email space to 1 GB per mailbox for every user
– saved libraries over half a million dollars in FY11 with E-Rate support
